Lovely hotel in ideal spot
The only downside was it was quite hot when we visited & the ability to hire a fan would have been great.

- the bathroom of my friends' room was tiny in size and, taking into account that my friend is quite robust, could not meet his needs at that site;
- in the corridors of the hotel, at least on the first floor where we were in several places the floor was missing even on the stairs and certain hatches of the false ceiling were missing;
- some doors were without handles (such as the one leading to the stairs (wooden and lowercase);
- my room had a bathroom divided into three parts, all present in the bedroom and not in a separate room, in particular the single toilet was protected by a sliding door in bakelite that quietly let out bad odors on the occasion of physiological needs, the shower open and therefore without curtain for privacy, but above all a spartan sink at the foot of the bed;
- in the room there was no presence of wardrobes, chest of drawers and safe.
The day after arrival, I highlighted to the receptionist the condition in which my friend had been accommodated highlighting that take room in my opinion was devoid of all the requirements of habitability and, this clearly irritated reported to me, in a fairly rude way, that the hotel was full and he could not make any room change.
This was also the case when a similar statement was made by my friend, who told him that he had booked a room of a lower category and that these were the conditions.
I believe that in Italy habitability permits are not issued for rooms of that type.
Icing on the cake:
Not having a safe available, so as not to go around with so much money on me, I hid the sum of € 420.00 in the zip of a backpack inside which there were souvenirs and a watch worth over 300 euros just bought.
On the third day, needing to bring some money with me, I opened my backpack to get it and realized that the 420,00 euros I had put in that backpack were no longer there. I specify that from the moment of arrival at the hotel to this event the backpack had always remained in the room.
I pointed this out to the receptionist to whom I showed the location of the backpack and the zip from which the money had been stolen.
He also got irritated when my friend tried to ask the attendant about the rooms.
For this incident I have filed a regular complaint with the Bruge Police Station.
I wish everyone not to have an experience like this.

Located on the canal so lovely view when you wake up in morning. Near the centre of Bruges.

Not a hotel really
This is a self check-in hotel. Which is fine, if the people behind it are professional.
When I reached the doors, as I tried to figure my way in, I could see one of the employees at the desk, 10 feet away. He saw us and just left when he could have just helped us in.
Next, the key was supposed to be in a box. All the box had was a letter telling me that this is a self-check-in hotel. The key was not there and there was nobody to help... until a young lady came out fuming at me for trying to check the keys lying at the reception table - I was frantically trying to find a key as my 8-year old needed to pee. And this girl comes out, not offering help or getting the key but just telling me off that I had no right to check the reception. She just ignored the fact that her team was did not keep the key in the promised box in first place. Entitled to the core.

The location is right at the canal, but there is no view really. You can walk to the town center, which is good,
The breakfast is BLAH.
The funniest - they did not even keep any toiletries, except one small bar of soap. Nothing for the insane amount of money they charge. If you wish to get another soap, you pay 5 euros. At some point, I joked that we might have to pay them 5 euros if we breathed more than allowed. Not worth.
