Excellent value - fantastic location

Stayed three nights. Old style decor which is great. Reception staff very obliging and helpful. Room on floor 15 - large room - comfy bed, good ac, bathroom a little dated but powerful shower over bathtub. WiFi worked fine. Breakfast was standard Brazilian buffet style. Nothing amazing but perfectly adequate. Location is very good - lots of restaurants and bars nearby - felt fine walking around in evening. Obliging to store luggage as we left on a late night bus. Thoroughly recommended. Don’t understand the bad reviews below - maybe has been renovated since

Urgently needs more attention from owners

The hotel may have been glamorous when it was built, but today urgently needs renovation in the apartments, especially in the bathrooms. Not standard 4 stars in any way! My bed until it was comfortable and the size of the room quite wide. Features a refrigerator and a hair dryer. The air conditioning is old.
Breakfast could be better, but it was reasonable.
The Internet is lens and sometimes fails. Always have only 1 receptionist to serve everyone.
The elevators are tiny.
It is located in front of Avangandava street, revitalized and with some restaurants of the Mancini family.
It is from the same owners of the Castle of Itaipava, which is very beautiful, but it seems that the attention and investment is made only in the Castle, because the hotel leaves to be desired in these points I cited.

Excellent cost-benefit

The hotel is very well located, opposite Avanhandava street with great restaurants. Excellent service. Facilities a little old but in good condition of preservation, cleanliness ok. The hotel offers excellent cost-benefit. Good option to stay close to the center.

Poor hotel, poor staff

Worker bad mood, poor service starting from the reception who did not allow entry 50 minutes ahead of schedule and the parking staff of extreme lack of education with all customers. Day 08/01 - 13 h, it is possible to verify that were the employees.
Already at the beginning the reception makes a mess asking for extra bed, we arrived on the floor the maid extremely poorly polite and of bad mood treated us in a rough way without even answering our compliment.
Hotel is in poor state of conservation, bad shower, do floor renovation on the floor and keeps guests on the same floor.
Do not stay in this hotel!!

Pros: Good location and attentive service. Big rooms.
Cons: Average breakfast, tired furniture.
Overall still good value for money.
