Fantastic sea view from 5th floor sea-facing room. Room was fabulous (Executive suite) however the chairs on the balcony were not very comfortable or practical. Staff were excellent throughout and we were allowed an early check in as the room was ready at 11am which was really helpful. Breakfast was ok, some breakfast items weren’t great (scrambled egg, orange juice) but on the whole was fine.

Agreed with negative reviews

I totally agree with the wasted potential review and the other two negative reviews regarding staff disinterest and the abysmal evening meals. Nothing for 2 vegetarians to eat and left over chips for breakfast. Agree regarding soup and rubbery, dried up food. Not even a lounge with easy listening music so just a walk after the evening meals and back to the bedroom. I didn't really feel that anybody was managing the hotel and only about 4 members of staff that engaged with the guests

Nice room, very clean and spacious, and generally very quiet. We liked having the mini fridge. Buffet breakfast ok, only the layout of the serving area is very cramped and coffee queue way too long. AC in the room fixed to 23C and cannot go lower. There is no source of light on the terrace so it is difficult to use at night. The hotel advertises a heated swimming pool, one of the reasons we chose it for our stay in November, but the pool was freezing cold. I would recommend the hotel to reconsider cleaning the stairs at a more guest-friendly time - being woken up by noise at 7am on a Saturday was not pleasant. The hotel terrace at the ground floor should really be non smoking, all the smoke gets in the rooms above.

Beautiful hotel, wasted potential

There should be many positives here; this hotel is in a magnificent setting, my sea view room literally took my breath away when I opened the curtains. The rooms are clean and modern and the hotel is ideally situated for flat access to the main harbour area, bars and restaurants.
However, the hotel is not maximising its potential; the staff seem unhappy and, to be frank, often rude. My check-in experience was snappy, twice cleaning staff were grumpy with me for being in the lift which is too small for two people and their trolley. On check-out the staff member was talking to a colleague and just held out her hand for my card without acknowledging me verbally at all, let alone asking for feedback about my stay. She only spoke to me to answer a question I asked about left luggage.
The hotel is spotless but I was woken on many days by very early housekeeping (before 8am), hoovering and shouting at each other; I’m on holiday, I’d like a lie-in!
I will return as the hotel is so convenient and lovely but I hope that there has been some serious time investment in staff training to make interactions more pleasant.

Great hotel in a lovely quiet village. Only 45 minutes by water taxi from Dubrovnik, or 25 by bus, both only a short walk from the hotel.
Lots of nice restaurants locally, although if you’re looking for lively entertainment you’ll need to venture into Dubrovnik.
