Spectacular
The grounds, the building, the rooms and the welcome were exceptional, and the fact that our party of four were the only guests made the experience even more special.
The whole property has been completely refurbished to an extremely high standard, whilst still retaining its original charm. The bedrooms and en suite bathrooms are very large and sumptuously furnished and the bed was probably the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Breakfast is included in the room rate and was the normal French affair.
It should be noted the property is primarily a wedding and corporate events venue, so not all of the facilties you would expect in a hotel are available when it's rented on a room by room basis rather than rented as a whole. We had to travel 15 minutes to find a restaurant on two evenings, and 40 minutes to one of the large towns, Nevers or Moulins, on Sunday evening because the more restaurants were closed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would unreservedly recommended it.
