An excellent meal in a lovely ambience

2 Red AA Rosettes but ………….!
What a disappointment!
No welcome . Two Staff behind the bar in a almost empty Pub and one of them just about raised their head to ask what we wanted !
A table at a higher level pointed out and we carried our drinks up. A Caesar Salad was fine and my Parfait was ok too, but just one piece of brioche . What was a big disappointment was the bake and chips we both ordered .
Little fish , huge amount of batter and very overcooked . On reflection should have sent back but always difficult with someone else present and you have booked .
Table Service was fine.
The bill for 2 starters , 2 fish and chips 1.5 pints of Otter Beer and a beer single orange juice and lemonade was over £80 . The bill I note had a 12.5% service charge added too ! (£13 for a Caesar Salad)
We left - no thank yous or acknowledgment
Will give a miss if in Hungerford area again anytime soon

Perfect place for our last night in UK
The food was spectacular, gourmet level in both flavor and presentation. The fact that it's the local pub made the stay even more special. Locals stopping in for a pint, some with their dogs, and everyone was there to visit, chat, and share a few laughs with their neighbors. The buzz and activity enhanced what was already a very warm and inviting atmosphere.

5 star quality at 3 star prices !
One of the best we have ever stayed in.
It’s in a beautiful little village that has a number of great walks .
The rooms are so clean it is amazing, ,not even water marks on glass.
The restaurant is also excellent with many perfectly cooked options .
