Normally when a hotel or any other kind of business (Ryanair or other low cost flights for example) try to keep the prices down, they normally try to make up for it by charging you for every tiny little thing they can think of.
This hotel has chosen a completely different strategy - keep the prices down and have only 1 priority - to make the guests happy!
For example - on the day of your departure you're welcome to spend the rest of the day by the pool and use their showers and dressing room when you're done. And you get free towels even though you've checked out. No extra fee.
Same thing on the day of arrival.
They also have free shuttles to the beach (the nearest beach is very easy to walk to, but the shuttle takes you a bit further where there are slightly more bars and restaurants etc) and every staff is warm and friendly and makes you feel really welcome.
Also the prices in the bar is very low. They say it's the cheapest you'll find in Arenal, and I believe them.
When I booked the breakfast for 6 euros, I didn't expect much more than a continental spread, but there were 3 different types of eggs (boiled, fried, scrambled), tortilla, sausages, bacon and loads of veg (cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and fried mushrooms, peppers etc), at least 6 types of fruit (watermelon, pinepple, kiwi, grapefruit, oranges etc)
I'm simply so impressed with them! :)
