A Stay in the "Heart" of ATL
Drive up: very nice-looking, well-kept building with valet readily available in the front...$25 (up to 3 hours) or $50 (daily rate; beyond 3 hours). There's public [self-park] parking options north and south of the hotel, approximately 5 minutes walk...not too bad because it saves you 50% on the daily rate.
Check-In: very easy process. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Each room is gifted with two complimentary bottles of water and a $10 dining certificate to apply towards dinner or breakfast.
There is a $27 convenience fee automatically applied to your bill because the hotel is considered to be in a destination spot; walking distance to several attractions in the heart of the city... Centennial park, GA aquarium, Football hall of fame, museums, etc.
Rooms: My spouse and I stayed in a King room on the 8th floor, overlooking a side street and providing direct view of the parking garage attached to the Hilton hotel next door. The room was on the "smaller" side, with just enough room for two. The doorway and walkways inside the room were definitely narrow.
The room environment was very clean and smelled fresh. The bathroom was stocked with full-size shampoo, conditioner, and hand wash (attached to the shower wall). There was also a travel size bottle of body wash, and a bar of face soap on the counter near the sink.
Amenities: Indoor Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, Restaurants, Bar, Gift Shop, etc.
Service: There is a text service provided through the hotel that I really appreciated. I received a pre check-in text with a hassle-free information link. There was a welcome text as soon as I arrived and checked in. It invited me to make the staff aware of any needs that might arise during our stay. Restaurant and bar staff were very attentive and courteous during our visits.
I was pleased with my stay, overall. I'd recommend this hotel and would certainly return for a future stay. I think 30K Wyndham points is too much for the asking, especially in comparison to other Wyndham trademark and specialty [high-end] hotels available for the same point price elsewhere. That's why I chose to use a combination of points and dollars to pay for this stay. I believe it gave me more "bang from my buck".
