Big Family Trip

Our family group of 14 traveled to Charleston this past weekend. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel was under construction- we knew the restaurant and the bar were not available but when we arrived the entire first floor was not accessible. Not to worry they were offering room service for breakfast and the roof top bar was available in the evening. Luckily the Marriott was directly across the street and we were able to fill in the gaps there. The rooms were wonderful and completely redone. The hotel is on the water and views were lovely. It was a quick trip into the city and an easy Uber ride. The staff was very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again. We frequent Charleston often.

Not worth my time to explain and list all the issues. On my regular visit to Charleston I will stay on a different Hotel

Fabulous rooftop sunset and a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

A special mention.. The service by front desk managers Dylan and Nick was outstanding. Very friendly and some great recommendations. Part of the hotel was under renovation but they ensured to make our stay comfortable.
Sunset on the rooftop indeed outstanding. Was simply the best view.
A recommendation. Shuttle service to downtown Charleston would take it up a couple of notches

Never told even at check in the hotel was under construction. Fitness center closed which my husband need for his Parkinson’s disease would have stay at VRBO if I knew that. Room was ok bed was not that comfortable which is unlike Hiltons the halls smaller due to construction.Restaurant is really a cafe with limited menu.

Charleston

The suite was very comfortable and the hotel was only about a block from king street. We walked everywhere including to the Fort Sumter visitor center and ferry.
One major complaint/concern were the stairs. They exit through staff areas crowded with furniture. In the event of an emergency this will be a major problem.
