Gateway to the Chao Praya River

Historic building with amenities right up to date. Gorgeous views of the river, even has their own pier where they can arrange a private canal tour. Rooms are very clean and well equipped. Staff are very friendly and can give touring advice. Wat Pho is just across the road and there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars walking upstream to Tha Tian. Even the Grand Palace is within walking distance. We've been twice in fifteen years and it is timeless, we love it.

Ideal small hotel near the Grand Palace.

Perfect location for visiting the Grand Palace. Good breakfast, served right next to the river with a view across to Wat Arun. Comfortable beds, plenty of cupboard space, good air con. We didn’t have much time for TV, but as a recommendation to the owners, it might be good for them to replace theTV with one connected to the internet. Nevertheless, excellent value for money. Also, it was very quiet. A short walk to a pier where you can buy tickets to travel on the river.

Wonderful hotel!

Had a lovely stay with my wife at the River Place on our first visit to Bangkok. We found the partial river view room delivered exactly what we were looking for, in a perfect location for our adventures throughout the city. Comfortable bed, excellent air conditioning, and a delicious Thai breakfast. Highly recommend !

Totally recommend

Fabulous location on the river with a view of Wat Arun. Small hotel at the end of a side road, only noise pollution was from the river cruises but that ended before 10pm.
Comfortable beds, good shower, room very clean, great breakfast and staff very friendly and helpful. 5 mins walk from Wat Pho, 10 mins walk from the Grand Palace, restaurants and a 7 eleven nearby!
Only improvement would've been more clothes hanging space / some drawers but we worked round that.

Perfect location

Perfect location and a great view.
Short walks to the Flower Market, Siam Museum and Temple of the reclining Buddah - and to some excellent street food. Hotel is small friendly and down a quiet sidestreet. Breakfast is served in a small cafe overlooking the river.
Bangkok is a big scary city so this was a perfect oasis for us in it's absolute heart.
