Good choice for business and pleasure trips to Maracaibo
If you choose your room wisely then your experience will be very nice.
Pros:
1. All the rooms has view to the lake.
2. Seeing the sunrise from your bed is incredible.
3. Quiet and "secure" neighborhood.
4. Large rooms.
5. Premium King Suites and Double Premium Suites, recently renovated.
6. Close to Lago Mall. (One of the best malls in Maracaibo).
7. The bathrooms from the rooms mentioned in bullet #5, has glass shower door.
8. Has its own Power Plant. Very convenient these days when there are black outs happening in the city almost everyday.
9. Close to the outdoor park Vereda del Lago.
Cons:
1. The food from the Hotel's restaurants is just Ok.
2. There are rooms very outdated (be aware).
3. Room service is inefficient.
4. Bell boy service is deficient. I just saw one guy per shift.
5. Breakfast buffet lacks of variety.
Advise: Pay your bill only is your credit card was issued by a Venezuelan Bank.

My recent stay
The hotel also has the only revolving restaraunt in Venezuela located on the top floor of the hotel. The view of the city and the lake provide a romantic setting and the food is very good.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating during my stay. I also found that the bill was accurate and their were no suprises unlike a couple of the other major hotels I stayed at in Maracaibo.
